Are there any hospitals in the Denver Area have a "low census policy?"

by Conrad283 Platinum Member

I was reading a thread about some hospitals having a "low census policy" whereas if the census is low they tell the nurses to sit at home by the phone and not get paid, or get paid very little and come in if they call. Does anyone know of this?

Alot of hospitals do this....if the census is low they will cancel your shift or send you home early.

That's what I want to avoid. That'll be a very important question in the interview.
