Shadowing Opportunities

I would really like to shadow a nurse in a hospital setting here in Denver, I have contacted Denver Health and they declined my application as I have to know a nurse and get their approval. Does anyone have any ideas or know of any hospitals (preferably a pediatric setting) that allow shadowing??
