RN to BSN

I went through a RN to BSN program with Regis here in Colorado Springs. There were students doing the same that communted from Alamosa every Wed. They had reral determination.
It does open some doors that sometimes are not avaiable to the AD or Diploma graduate. I was a Diploma Graduate from 1979 out of Wichita Ks.
I thought it was worth it and actually graduated in 1995 and still paying on the loans I took out.
As for the money return. That could be considered a wash. But that is just my opinion.
It all depends on your short and long term goals actually.

There are other programs and I would not be surprised that there is a program of some type there your area (Durango?)
If you are that far west in this wonderful state you might have to commute to Grand Junction.

There are a lot of choices for online RN/BSN programs now so if you would like the flexibility of online courses that is a good choice. Local colleges are also making it easier for RNs to obtain a BSN with bridge programs. Both systems have good and bad points. The important thing is to do a lot of research and find the program that suits your needs.

I am currently looking for an RN to Bsn program also. UNC had one, but this fall is the last time it will be offered. The only place I have found is Phoenix. I tried the site for Regis and it told me they only work with people that have a Bachelors degree already. I too would be interested in any information about such a program.

There are many, many, many online RN/BSN programs now available. When I did the research for my book I found over 15 and since then there has been many new editions. Many advertise in nursing journals. A few offhand are:
