Pbds/ob

I have to take the PBDS exam for L&D/OB. Can anyone help with what they think will be on the exam? Has anyone taken it? Thanks

Never heard of it - what facility is doing this? And what are they expecting to test a new grad on? Hasn't the NCLEX traumatized new grads enough?

When I got hired at my last job, we all had to do PBDS (I worked cardiac), but it had nothing to do with OB. It was a customer service/competency type thing-I think. It was over 9 years ago, so I barely remember it. It stood for Performance Based Development System.

Yes traumatized enough. Its a Centura Health and I know that HCA does it too. Its various videos, you have 8 min to watch them- then write down a medical diagnosis (am I a MD?)... what would I do (detailed) and my reason for doing so. Also a section on priority. And a section on IV pictures like; infiltration, phlebitis ect and what I would do to correct. It was just an annoying day. If I do not pass by their standards I guess I need to do it again. Im now drinking a glass of wine.
