LPNs in Colorado Springs?

by Josifek

Hello! I realise this site is full of "how much do nurses make in this particular city" threads but here's another one! My family and I are giving serious thought to moving to the Colorado Springs area. I am currently a LPN working in LTC. I am assuming that a city of its size has a good number of positions in this area. I was wondering if anyone knows about typical pay for a LPN in a nursing home there. I looked it up on Salary Monster and what they have listed as median salary comes out to around $18.00 per hour. Does anyone know if this is true or is it a bit inflated? I am currently making $16.50 but our cost of living (especially housing) seems lower than in Colorado City. Thanks for any responses.
