Emily Griffith OS vs. CCD

Hi,

I have been accepted into the LPN programs at EGOS and CCD. I am trying to decide which one to attend. Is one better than another? Feedback and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I could be totally wrong here, but one thing to consider is the time to get in. The LPN program at CCD is part of their 1+1 program. Meaning, that all of the ASN (RN program) students will be going thru the LPN program.

EGOS is solely a LPN program, and I believe the wait is only 1 to 1.5 years.

The RN program at CCD is like all of the CO programs about a 2-3 year wait. I DEFINITELY could be wrong, so talk to your advisors.

Good Luck!

I have been offered seats in both schools LPN programs starting in the Summer/Fall. I have been on the CCCS waitlist for 1 1/2 years. I had heard some bad things about the computer simulator that CCD is using instead of clinicals. Is this true or unique to CCD?

Thanks

You were only on the waitlist for 1.5 years? Wow! that's relatively fast. Hmm...

The waitlist for the LPN programs are much shorter. My wait list number for the ACC RN program is in the upper 800's and would take 4 years to get in. When I called ACC last week to see what number they were on Carmella told me they were around 457 if I am remember correctly.
