Cant find schools! Help!

I am moving from Louisiana to Colorado Springs in October 2006. I am trying to get as much information as I can for LPN/LVN programs in this area. I am aware of the 2+ year waiting list at most nursing or vocational schools. I also know that some schools offer programs for RN where you can stop half way and get your LPN License. I have done a pretty extensive search online and have really only come up with maybe 1 or 2 schools that "might" have these programs. I seriously need some help from someone who any information on this subject.

Thanx,
Razor

There are indeed only a few actually in the CO Springs area.

Here is the Colorado Board of Nursing list of approved practicle nursing programs for the entire state. If it's not on the list, it isn't approved for NCLEX-PN licensing.

You're right about the long lists for positions in the Community College ADN programs (esp. in the Denver area where I live). You're eligible to test for LPN after completing the first year, but it's not a separate program, so you're still in that long ADN line.

Emily Griffith Opportunity School in Denver offers the LPN training. Maybe they could help you locate similar programs in Colo. Springs? Any chance you could commute?

Oh yeah, I forgot to post a list of RN programs in the state:

Another option to Emily Griffith (as the last poster suggested) is Pickens Tech in Aurora.
