| | Fremont-Rideout Nurses approve hospital contract September 04, 2009 Fremont-Rideout Health Group nurses ratified their first union contract Thursday night, according to the California Nurses Association... ...Nurses working for the health group, she said, "have worked very hard to achieve this first contract." Talks resumed earlier this year after a federal administrative law judge ruled that management must bargain with the union. The agreement includes a first-time Professional Practice Committee made up entirely of bedside RNs, new safe "floating" provisions that limit the assignment of RNs to units where they do not have expertise, and secure retirement and affordable healthcare coverage, all guaranteed through the contract. A supporter of Nurses for Self-Representation, which opposes the union contract, counted the number of people entering a room at the Bonanza Inn in Yuba City to vote, said Shawna Van Dusen, an RN and member of the self-representation group.... http://www.appeal-democrat.com/news/...tract-rns.html More about the contract - http://www.appeal-democrat.com/news/...t-rideout.html http://www.lrwarehouse.com/PDF/2009-01/LU_3296.pdf Search Tags None | | | Advertisement Sponsored Links | | | | 406 members
