Texas CNAs

Hello,
I have the Lippincotts text book for nursing assistants and the Texas nurses aide handbook. The ROM differs from each book, I asked the teacher which book to go by on the exam and she told me use the hand book, even though the text book has more steps . So my question is ,What did you go by when you took the exam, the text book or the handbook. Thanks

The handbook and instruction that the teacher gives you, I just got my certification may 17th/09, our teacher told us to not go with the skills in the text book because every state is different, she wil show you what the state examiner will look for as far as what the state of texas requires, do what she says and show you, and you will be just fine,as far as the written test pay attention in class, take notes, highlite the key points and use common sense...good luck & GOD bless.

I live in the DFW area.
