I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. I am thinking of taking CNA classes now, and maybe starting to work after the baby comes (I am due in January, but wouldn't plan on working until about April.)
The reason I was thinking of taking classes now is because my dh is a baseball coach, so he is busy all spring, and schedules are a bit hectic.
My question is this: how physically demanding is it to take classes for CNA? I know the classroom part should be fine, but I am worried about clinicals- how many hours do the clinicals make up? Is there a lot of lifting? I am considered high risk, so I have to be cautious of how much lifting I do. (I have GD, placenta previa, and a history of pre-term labor.)
My next time I could take classes wouldn't be until next summer, and I am anxious to start before then, but obviously don't want to pose any health risks to myself or the baby.
Any advice is greatly appreciated- thanks everyone!
