Stupid Mistake Cost Me The Test

by It's_Me

I am so angry at myself right now, I can't believe I could be so stupid. Today was my state skills test, I've been drilling all week in the lab, and going over steps with friends from class. Last night was graduation and it was great.

I couldn't sleep last night at all, worrying I'd forget the steps and flunk. I get all the way to school, and then realized I didn't have my social. Usually I have it in my purse, I don't know why it's not there, but it wasn't. One lady came in and told us, if we didn't have it, and could go home and get it, to do that. So I drive like heck to go home and get it, and get back, and they wouldn't let me in. Rules are rules! Even though they hadn't even started anything yet, they were still handing out paperwork to fill out.

I asked if I could be rescheduled in tomorrow's group, and they refused. I asked why, since there aren't nearly as many people in tomorrow's group. Rules are rules, and they said I should've known better and now I have to reschedule on my own, and if I'm lucky, I can test at the end of next month. AND I have to take my written test all over again. AND it's going to cost me another $25 fee.

I'm sorry to write a book here, I'm so upset right now. This was not what I had hoped to report to you today.

It will be okay Don't beat yourself up over it. Atleast you still have another try, and I'm sure you will do well on your written exam. Best of luck to you. Hugs are sent your way.

Aww. I'm sorry to hear that. Let us know when you finally do get to take it.

And, don't beat yourself up. Sometimes I think I'd forget my head if it weren't attached.

Sorry to hear about the problems. I've found that I can make sure that the stuff I need to take with me actually gets taken if I gather everything up and take it down to the car the day or night before. Then when I get in the car, I see the stuff and look at it one last time. I've also missed things when I leave in a hurry, but haven't since I started taking it to the car ahead of time. Good luck when you get your chance to test.

I'm sorry Sadly stuff like that happens. We had two girls show up late for the written, same situation like you they were going over the paperwork but they couldn'ht be let in. Just think, another month you'll be that much more prepared.
