I was recently hired into a care center through the hospital where I live. It will be my first CNA job. Full time/benefits/discount at the fitness center/ and they are starting me out at 9.43/hr. Not the greatest, but- it's better than the 7.25/hr I'm getting at my retail job right now. Once I was offered the position- I found out from everyone around me that I shouldn't work there because it's a terrible place and no one likes it there. I've heard this from several people who used to work there.
I recently had an interview about a week ago with a health center that offers 14.75/hr for CNA's. I have yet to hear anything from them, so I'm not sure what to think. I would love to work there. I've heard such great things about the place. The only thing is, is that it's a half hour away & I would have to bid for a full time position & the wait for a full time position is 3-4 months. So it would only be part time. Which means no benefits.
Question is-I'm not sure what I should do? Should I take this job at the care center? Ask them if there is an opening in the hospital itself, instead? or should I wait and see what happens with this other health center? I would like someone else's opinion on the matter!
