Question about skills for STNA test!

Hi everyone,
I'm about to take the STNA test (I'll be taking it in Ohio) and I noticed that there are a couple of skills (i.e., assisting a resident with a bedpan) where one of the steps is to "assist resident with washing hands." Does that just mean that you are supposed to bring over washcloths and wipe them with soap/warm water after they've used the pan?

Also, one of the steps stated that you had to empty/clean the bedpan. Does this just mean rinsing it out with water or is there some spray or cleaner that they will provide?

Thanks in advance!

Default Re: Question about skills for STNA test!
My friend and I just took these last weekend and she got the bedpan one. I think she said that she had to get a basin and pretend to fill it with water and wash their hands, then also pretend to go into the bathroom and wash out the bedpan, dry it and put it away.

As long as you talk out the steps you'll be fine.
