Nursing Assistant Training

by ecmb

$500.00 for 11 days from &:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. This training is provided in a nursing home. Afterwards, a candidate could sign up to pass the state test to get certified for a fee of $96.00.

Of course, I would still need a current physical from my doctor, TB test; and I'd have to get fingerprinted. None of this is a problem. But is 11 days of training adequate?

Default Re: Nursing Assistant Training
well inorder for it to be a nurse assistant program it has to be be a minimum of 75 hours of classroom training and at least 16 hours of clinicals. Since it's 8 a.m to 4p.m that's 8 hours a day for 11 days that would be 88 hours. You also have to take into account lunch breaks so minus one hour a day then it would be 77 hours, so it should be a good course. Ask them how many hours are clinicals. If clinicals is part of the 77 to 88 hours then I would look around for another program. As always get a second opinion.
