New Texas CNA (got first job today)

I had the greatest day so far in my healthcare career. I tok my state CAN exam on January 14 2008 and passed with flying colors. I haven't even gotten the paperwork back from the state and I got my first CNA job today January 31 2008. It was an awesome day, I went to the Harris County Job Fair (houston texas) and after passing a written CNA exam and showing them the passing paperwork I was able to tour around the differerent depts tables and was interview by nurse managers from Ben Taub ICU , LBJ OR Services and LBJ Pedi EC. I then proceeded to get on the spot offers from all 3 depts. All I were willing to work with my school schedule (i am a Pre RN student hopefuly starting this fall) I took the position in the ped ec dept because I hope to end as a EC RN so even at half the pay of the OR position I will start at LBJ EC in the upcoming weeks. I am so excited to get my dream position as my first CNA job. I am hoping I can stay with them even as an RN.
