moving to another state

I was told when I took my class to become a CNA, that I would need to call the state board where I was going and let them know that I'm transferring to another state. Is that true? I live in Arizona now and thinking about moving back to CA. My class was 120 hours and found out from one of my coworkers that CA has more class hours to become a CNA, that I would have to start over again and take another CNA class? Is that true or is there an easier way?

Default Re: moving to another state
Each state has their own requirements for the CNA, as wel as the LVN, and the RN for licensure.

You are going to need to meet the requirements of the new state if you wish to work there in that role.

Suggest that you contact them directly to find out their specfic requirements and what you will need to do to get your certification there.
Always best to get the information directly from them and there are no shortcuts to getting it any other way.

Best of luck to you.
