Looking 4 place to Pay for me to train as CNA-Houston, TX

by mrsjmb

I live in Richmond TX and I have a BA in Psychology, I've been in Houston for about 7 months now(I was in TN before) and I have not found a job at all. My first venture with nursing happened almost 2 1/2 yrs ago, I was taking pre-reqs for nursing school and then after the second month of school, I had a miscarriage (the nurses were so dear to me)and 2 wks after that my hubby lost his job, so I had to quit school and go back to work. Since then I've worked in mental health as a Case Worker and in Sales/Finance. But I keep having these dreams and thoughts about becoming a nurse. I would love to work in Psych nursing....and have tried working in the corporate world, I hate it. Now that I have a four-month old daughter, I want to pursue nursing again. But I want to start off slow, so I'm thinking about CNA....a lot of ppl tell me to just go right to MSN or BSN, but I'm not in a rush, I need a job right now and then I can work on all that. It's hard being on 1 income. So does anyone know of places here in Houston, TX that have agencies or facilities that will pay for caregivers to obtain CNA credentials???

thanks & god bless!
