That is true. A lot of CNA jobs at the hospital do start you on third shift. I guess that shift has a high turnover rate.

How about more school/training?

Most hospitals have there own training program. Even if you are State Tested you will still have to go through the hospital training program. As the work in a hospital setting is sooooooo much diff then working in a LTC.... Also, some hospital have there own training program for those who are not STNA/CNA. However, going through a hopsital training does not give you the ability to go work in a LTCF becuase you are not considered a STNA/CNA working in a hospital setting.

How funny, this is the shift I would perfer. Working durring the day wouldn't be good for me at all! I hope it's the same way in California!!
