i need some serious help and advice

I took a quick CNA course at a local private school. When i seen it advertised on tv it said that it only last 3-4 weeks during the day. well that caught my eye even though my mother warn to me that it was a bad idea because they say one thing and mean the other so she didn't help me pay for the program. the program cost 750. i figured it would be easy because i took the class at a local technical college but i failed it (teacher was a butthole). i did very well at the local private school passed and everything. Well i been done with the class for over 4 months. I can't take my certification test until i pay the whole 750. i'm only down to 450.

I also take night classes (A&P) at a community colllege for RN. I can't work at my job during the day because it is filled. My plan was to work as a CNA during the morning and go to school at night. but with the program not paid for i'm SOL. WHAT should i do?

I am sorry you are going through a financial hardship like this. I understand the kinds of issues you are having. You will need to pay the institution the tuition required before you can work as a CNA. They are probably holding your paperwork until you finish paying......which means you cannot test to be certified. I suggest you take a job anywhere you can so you can pay the school back so you can further your career. You could posssibly apply to be a home health aide. Many times you do not ned a certification to do that.

Good Luck!

Do whatever you need to do to pay off that school, and request that they show you proof of what they sent the state to allow you to test for a CNA. This is why many colleges require you to pay first, so you don't wind up with wasted time that you can't do anything about.
Take whatever job you can get to pay them off...good luck!

Some nursing homes will hire you as an NA if they know you're just waiting for your certification test so definitely try that. Otherwise, a few weeks at a fast-food joint or waiting tables could quickly get you the money you need to finish paying off the school. I've never seen a school that didn't make you pay everything up front. It'll all happen - it just takes a little tenacity sometimes.
