death..

by aide?

What a week! Every week I get a new assignment,8 pts . Well my list this week is just so sad.Day 1 ,sweet pt dies quietly.I got her cleaned& up in her chair, she eat great, then boom, her heart stops!7 pts-day 2,woman moaning when I come on my shift, the report tells me vitals are all bad all night, she is out of it,I clean her talk to her,no response, dies at end of shift! 6 pts-day 3 ,I notice a discharge coming from pt when I clean her up,she is crying,it smells awful, black blood oozing out! Doc comes, nurses come ,family comes, yep she is going down hill fast, she is put on candlelight.,family has round the clock care for her .Day 4& 5 - 5 pts left! At least they are all still alive! Wow,I had pts pass before but not one every day 3 days in a row!
I really hope next week is better!
thanks for letting me vent
