CNA Skill Test?

by Tsuzuku

Hey, everyone!

I'm taking my CNA test on Friday and I was just wondering if they give you exactly what you need for each skill you do.

For example, if you had to give someone a modified bed bath, would the instructor hand you the right amount of towels and washcloths along with a dirty linen bag and gown? Or, would you have to go grab everything yourself?

I'm afraid I'll forget something if they make me get it! What happens if you forget an item, but remember half way through the skill? Tell them that you're going to restart?

Thanks!!

Default Re: CNA Skill Test?
If I were you I would ask your instructor. My instructor had everything we needed for each skill in a plastic tub. Each skill had its own tub and was labeled accordingly. So when we were told the skill we would be tested on we simply grabbed the appropriate tub and everything was in there. Our test was given at our facility. So we were comfortable with that setting. If you forget something, simply tell them you forgot and even if it is after your finished or near the end of that skill. Also verbalize every step as you are doing it that way they know that you know and it will help you also to recall. Try not to stress too much!
