Re: CNA looking for time managing skills
I know where you are coming from. I too went from assisted living to a hospital. One of the reasons why I left assisted living was due to poor staffing. I had way too many total care residents to try and take care of in the time allotted to me. I found that at the hospital it was better staffed and I had more help. As for what to do when you have free time, first things first. All patients are clean and dry, have water, are turned, tolieted in other words as comfortable as you can make them. Then ask the charge nurse if there is anything that could be done. Making sure the hallways are clear, supply is neat and organized, etc are things I do when I find I have spare time.
