Kbites, what hospital are you working for? I will be getting certified in the next few months, and would prefer working in a hospital.

Was this at a hospital or a LTC? I just got my CNA cert today and have been looking at jobs at hospitals.

Hi, I live in Providence, RI and I was justed hired for LTC 3rd shift. They offered me $11 an hour with no weekend or shift differential. I have to work every other weekend. But with medical and dental coverage after 3 months (that they pay for) and a weeks paided vacation after 1yr. I was wondering if this is the normal rate for CNA's in my area. Also I'm a new CNA graduate with no experiance in the medical field what so ever.
