Hi there! I don't remember there being any math on the state test. However, I just went through my hospital ACP class and there were some questions on there about figuring the I & O and converting ounces into cc's, which is multiplying fractions. Easy stuff though...let me know if you need any help...

You can go to this website and it will give u a free practice exam. Its 50 multiple choice questions. www.prometric.com/nurseaide/fl.htm. U can also register to take the exam through this website.

I took it and only missed 5 questions. It was pretty simple....

I took my CNA exam in Florida back in December and the only thing that was really on the written exam was about resident rights. I don't remember anything at all that was remotely math related and overall the written exam was really easy. Good luck!

Hello, Could Someone Tell Me If They Have Challenged The Cna Exam And Did Not Take A Cna Course?

I took the classes, but I can tell you only a little over half pass the skills portion on the first try. If you are a challenger coming back to nurse assisting after taking an extended break from it, this link will help you get refreshed:

If you don't have clinical experience, you may find the skills exam challenging.

Good luck in any case!

The written test is incredibly easy, or so I have heard. Lots of "common sense" questions about resident-rights.

The skill portion, I am really nervous about. I am taking it next month. Even though I went through the class, I still don't feel prepared. I can't even imagine taking it as a challenger. Many of the skills, the proctors are so particular about how they want a skill to be done. And, this stuff is not included on the skills checklist that prometrics handed out.

The other thing I am so scared about is the time limit. I can do all of the skills, but slowly, because I am doing it slowly so I don't forget anything.

what were the 3 skills they tested you on? i'm getting ready to take mine now and while i'm not worried about the written portion, i am concerned about forgetting something on the skills portion. we were told they would give us one easy, one medium and one hard skill to perform ..... any help would be VERY much appreciated

I took the test last year, I passed on the first try both the written and skills... I did study alot on the skills. They had me do BL pressure, side lying postioning and hair combing, which was very simple. U need to remember the order and just make sure u greet the pt, simulate drawing the curtains, knocking on the door.. etc.. let them know what u r doing and most important safety for the pt always.... Hand washing, its important u remember to stay washing those hands for 15 secs... If not they will fail u for it. Weighing the pt, make sure u put the paper towel on the scale for the pt, they can fail u for that too... Positioning for the pts, Make sure u know were to put the pillows and how to position ur pt. The center I went to the instructor was a bit picky, they dont expect you to do things perfect but u need to remember the routine of things.. Hope this helps...

Take Care, Good Luck...
