CNA course possibly a scam?

I finally found a CNA program in San Bernardino, CA and I'm really excited. However, the adult school that its held at is making me pay $10 to take an entrance test. The lady I spoke with says that I will be tested only in basic math and reading and based on what I score on my entrance test will determine if I have a spot in the course. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is this how its suppose to go?

Check and see if they're on this list. http://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/ct/rp/cna.asp Asking someone to pay for an extrance exam isn't the out of the norm. You will find you will have to do that in order to apply to nursing school Good Luck

A lot of the programs out here have that requirement, it seems ok.
