CNA completion prior to RN?

by CDNtobe

Looking for comments on value placed on completing CNA prior to entering ADN? I am currently looking to apply for ADN program for fall of 2010 and wonder if completing the CNA in Jan-Mar 2010 will help my application, as well as my future job prospects as an RN? Thanks in advance!

It will definitely help on the application, as well as in the program itself. You will have a heads-up on basic nursing skills that are taught in the first few weeks and semester of your program.
