Becoming a CNA

I am getting ready to move to the Austin, TX area in about a week and I really want pursue a career as a CNA. I have been looking online a lot trying to find out all I can about possible opportunities in this area. However I have not found much out. Is anyone here aware of employers who assist with putting employees through this type of training? I am a single mom of two so I cant afford to spend a lot of money, or be out of a job while going to school. Thanks!

Try the Red Cross, they may offer training. Also call around to some nursing homes and long term care facilities. Some may offer to train you to be eligible for state certification. But if they train you, they may want you to work for them for a pre-determined amount of time. Good luck
