AZ CNA

by kba8

Hello All,
I have one year of nursing school left and wanted to work as a CNA during that time, My question is can I sit for my CNA boards with 2 years of nursing school behind me or do I still have to take the CNA class?? If anyone has any info I would really appreciate it!

Im pretty sure you can take the test, without the class. As far as I know, you can sit for the exam after your 1st semester of Nursing School. I would still suggest you double check this, because I may be wrong. I know for a fact that this is the case in NY, though. Just figured id answer since you didn't get a response.

The company that does the CNA testing is D & S Diversified Technology. They have a website or you can call them.. I'm pretty sure you can take the test after you've completed your first block of the nursing program though.

Your title is my screename! Lol. You can get a CNA certificate after your first semester of nursing school in Michigan. I'm sure it is similar in the other states as well.
