Re: Agency
Becarefull of agency or caregiver services. Past few weeks my wife has tried her hand as a Home Health Aide with NO prevous experience or NO TRAINNING.
First Agency gave her a trainer for 1 day. & a patent way above her Caregiver ability. The man was wheel chair bound in his 50`s & mental challegned. He had very brital bones, & was very overweight. The agency did not provide the proper equipment to lift him, & he was also a Dysphasus level 2 diet.
She informed them that he was beyond her ability to care for. & asked for a new client that would be easier to learn from. She was informed you either take care of this patent or you no job. So she took the no job route not being comfortable being his care provider.
Her current job gave her 1 day of classes aka videos for 7 hrs. & told her she has work 12hrs days. Wanting her to work 6 days a week. She informed them on hiring, & on her application she only wanted 40hrs a week, & no more than 8 hrs a day.
Alot of them will tell you what you want to hear to get you in. Once, your in your at their mursey till you quit or find another job.
Just my 2 cents.
