Staffing coordinator CNA?

Nursing Students CNA/MA

A position was recently offered to me to be the staffing coordinator and central supply tech for our facility. I adore being a CNA but this job sounds really interesting to me. Has anyone done this before or could anyone offer advice to me? I'm just going back and forth because I *really* adore being a full time CNA but with this job I will only be on call to cover a shift if I can't get another cna to come in. :(

Specializes in LTC.

Is the pay any better? It doesn't sound bad, but I'd rather be a CNA. If I switched to an office job after doing full-time CNA work I'd fatten right up! And iff the pay is as bad as CNA then who can afford a gym membership?

It pays about 3 and a half dollars more per hr and I already have a gym membership ;)

Specializes in Med-Surg/urology.

I would take the job. At a previous facility I worked for, the staffing coordinator was also a CNA..but I never saw her fill in if we were short staffed lol. But yea..go for it! It sounds like a great opportunity.

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

do it.....it will be a great addition to your resume.
