St Francis or St Johns in Tulsa, Ok?

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

Okay, so I am in my last week of CNA class and I am having a difficult time here.

I quit my job at St Francis in order to take the ten day course and I am looking into starting school for my LPN next or going straight for RN. I want to be a pediatric nurse and I was working for St Francis' child care facility, Ave Maria House. I was looking at St Francis' openings and the only one that I can really find that works with my schedule (full time night shift) is general surgery, other than adult behavioral at Laureate. Then I look for openings at St Johns and they have openings on a bunch of floors that I would really like to be on. I really like St Francis and wanted to stay with them, and I know so many RNs wanting to help me, but I guess my question is, does anyone any pros or cons you'd like to throw out about either hospitals? I've heard great things about St Johns, but I'm always skeptical about change. Any input would be appreciated!

The last I heard St. John's was on a hiring freeze...good luck, hopefully that's changed
