Help from those in Florida

I will be starting the nursing program at my local state college next year, however I would like to get my foot in the door at a hospital now. I decided CNA was probably my best option after trying to get a desk job for a year with no luck. From the research I have done, I know you don't need to go to school to be a CNA here, you just need to pass the exam. I feel comfortable with the written part of the exam, I come from a "nursing" family and have taken many practice exams online and passed with flying colors. I am however worried about the "skills" portion of the test. I have a few options...there is an accredited CNA training facility in my area, the class is 5 weeks long 4 days a week and 120 hours total for $650. My second option is to do a "boot camp" that is 1 day 8 hours and $150 they go over the "skills" portion of the exam and it is for those needing a refresher course. Last there is a 2 day 16 hour course for $300 for those that don't want to take a 5 week course it condenses the material that you need to learn for your exam. My question is without the 5 week accredited course, what are my chances of finding a job? Do most places out here require the course, or will they hire those that "challenge" the exam? I would hate to spend $150-$300 for nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
