Free Cna Training In Chicago Il!!!

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I know somebody out there is looking for it and I found it!!!! These classes fill in fast, after 6 months (3 classes) i'm finally getting in. In norridge, IL, a surrounded subburb, there is a nursing facility called Norridge Nursing. They have a free cna program that offers the ability to work after week 2. They also have a bonus, if you stay for 6 months as a cna they give you $500.

I did an ambulance transport to Gottlieb Hospital and a new cna rode along with the patient. She and I talked about it for a couple hours and thats how I found out.

THERE IS NOT A BETTER SOLUTION

They do not have much info online about it, you can go inside and ask for the cna training application from the receptionist. (FILL IT OUT THERE, trust me they will loose it)

Good Luck

Hope this helps somebody, i looked for 6 months

hey, no problem!:)

Hi folks!

I know of a place that caters to those with low or no income. Its called Early Intervention CNA program through an non-for-profit org called Casa Central. The courses are about 13 weeks long and and they work in conjunction with Harold Washington College. You meet at Casa Central but the instructor is from HWC. There are some out of pocket expenses such as the books, registration fee, state exam fee and other material such as your gait belt and blood pressure kit. However, the medical materials including the uniform are not needed right away. Only prior to beginning your clinical practice.

For me, the training wasn't too bad and there's job placement as well. I just recently took my state exam too. In total I'd say I paid about $120 out of pocket expenses. For those in dire need, they will work with you financially. The organization caters to the Hispanic community but there were those in the class who did not speak Spanish. So, if anyone is interested you can check them out here: http://casacentral.org/programs/Early-Intervention

Hope this helps someone.

hey! thanks for that info. do you know if the instructors speak spanish at all?

Even if you found a course where the instructors speak Spanish it is required that the CNA certification exam be administered in English. There is a national directory of CNA training classes here: http://typesofnurses.net/cna-training/ but this list does not include many nursing homes that will offer to pay for your training program costs if you agree to become an employee after completing the CNA program and certification. These opportunities can be found by calling local assisted living homes.

Is this still available??? What is the complete name of the facility that provides this service??? In need of a bit more info. Thank you in advance.
