Does anyone know where I can get free CNA training in Pittsburgh, PA?
My ultimate goal is to become an RN but I plan to start by getting my CNA so that I can have living expenses. I cannot afford tuition.
A lot of the nursing homes around here offer to send you to classes or bring the instructors in to you in exchange for an employment committment. I would check on their websites or with their HR departments.
Yes, there are places that offer to pay your tuition if they would like to hire you. Look around in your area, interview for a job and see about the possibility of either tuition reimbursement or the company paying for your tuition.
Please keep in mind if you decide to go that route that you are probably (dare I saw "definitely") obligated to work for that company for a period of time. If you leave before that time period is up, you'll have to reimburse the company for your training.
