CNA in Wake/Durham County NC

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I passed my CNA license exam this past Saturday. I am currently a full time pre nursing student at NCCU, and plan to take my nursing bridge courses in the fall. I am a second degree student, so I left my full time job back in december, however, I would love to get a job as a CNA in the area.

How long after the test should I wait to apply for jobs? Is it ok to start applying immediately even though I have not been listed on the registry yet (2-5 business days)?

What are your thoughts on working full time and school full time as well?? I don't want to graduate with a lot of debt this time around and could probably manage full time in the evenings (2nd shift or night shift)/weekends included. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
