CNA shoes - what kind to get?

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I will be entering a CNA training program soon, and I have the entire uniform ready except for the shoes. We can wear any kind of white shoes, so I'm wondering what the best type would be. A lot of nurses I've seen wear Crocs, are they awesomely comfortable or something? Is that the ideal healthcare shoe? Or should I opt for a cheap pair of white tennis shoes from Payless? I appreciate any ideas and advice!!

Just be sure if you are buying crocs that you either get the kind without holes in the top or check that your employer will allow you to wear that type. Many health care organizations no longer allow holes on the tops of shoes r/t infection risks. As for scrubs I find that Walmart has the cheapest price and they lasted a long time. Also check your local Goodwill stores and find some used scrubs. Good luck as you start your CNA Pam

New Balance all the way.:)

Totally agree with the New Balance shoes. Just get them all white and they look and FEEL great too.

Oh yes, don't forgot the ensoles and they really work to you comfy. You can't go wrong!

I am an LVN and do clinic work. I am at the end of our building so I walk constantly when rooming patients. I had a pair of Sketchers walking shoes that I loved. When those wore out I tried a pair of Danskin walkers and my heels have hurt ever since. I then bought a pair of Klogs that are good, but I am going back to Sketchers as soon as I can get my reimbursement approve. This was just the original walking shoes not the new walk fit with the odd sole. I do have friends that have the new walk fit and they love them. Your feet is your 2nd biggest asset in the medical field, if they arent happy your day is long !!!!

KSWISS!!!!

Best shoes I've ever worn
