Cna exam test date wait...

  1. 0 Hi guys,

So I recently finished my four day cna course and I've paid for my state exam, and i'm just waiting for my letter from Prometric and i'm just wondering how long will it really take after i send my fingerprints to get my testing date. I know its 6-8 weeks, did anyone get there date earlier than 6-8 weeks?

Irrelevant, but your CNA course was 4days??? I did mine in high school and it was 2 years.

4 days? There's no way you can learn everything you need to know in that amount of time.

Whaaaaat? How can you possibly learn everything in 4 days?! I took a 75 hour class and had another 24 hours of clinicals. Also I learned that 75 hours of education is the federal minimum set in place by OBRA. Seriously confused.

Yeah four days doesn't sound right to me either. Check your state regulations on hours in the classroom, and clinical hours. Mine took 8 weeks, but it was 3 hrs a day I think. Go on the department of public health web site for your state and look into it.

I would most definitely check it out. My cna course was six weeks which included 120 lecture hours and 40 clinical hours.

The Red Cross CNA training totals 140 hours with 40 of them being clinical. How can you possibly finish in 4 days?
