Has anyone taken their CNA Exam through North Orange County ROP in Anaheim, CA? It is a Regional Testing Center for the NNAAP. From what I've read on the posts, most seem to test through the Red Cross. I wondered if ROP was strict since LVN instructors are the ones grading skills?
I am very nervous since I am challenging the CNA exam; I haven't practiced skills in over 5 years! I am scheduled for 7/21 and would like to know ANYTHING that would help! I try to look up videos on youtube, but everybody is doing something different and most are not from CA anyway. I would like to (re)learn the necessary skills in passing the exam from a reliable, reputable source.
I appreciate any feed back, especially in regards to the testing site! :-)
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.

  4. Hi coldcasejustice,

I am taking the CNA exam next week at the North OC ROP in Anaheim and nervous as heck :/. Been trying to find the same info as you to no avail and my friends bailed out on me, so I am on my own on test day. I have been reviewing the booklet they mailed out and going on YouTube for review as well. I will let you know how it goes. Wish me luck.
  5. Oh my gosh, I am so sorry to hear that! It's so hard when all you can do is rely on youtube videos you don't know are correct, and a teddy bear ( or your friends.) I hope the skills aren't too difficult, are you taking it on a Saturday? Did you complete a CNA course, or are you challenging the exam as well? Good luck to you, and YES please let me know how it goes!
  6. Thank you! I took two semesters of med/surg last year through the psych tech program and lagged in taking the CNA exam, so I am trying to remember all the skills. I need the CNA cert to work as a mental health worker or trainee (since I need a job ) while I wait to take state boards so I can be a LPT. I will let you know how it goes after Saturday's test date.
  7. Yes, it is hard to remember the skills. I have 3 semesters of RN school, but that was 5 years ago. I can not remember basic nursing skills of bathing, bed pans, etc... but I know the more advanced stuff- that's why these skills make me nervous. I can give you my my email; we can email/ text w questions if you like?
  8. i wish i could know the easiest testing sites.

    Thank you :-)

  11. coldcase when will you be testing in oc, becos i will be testing in 2 weeks, i am kind of nervous too. i took too long in taking the exam. but i heard north oc rop guide you through it.
  12. We probably we will testing the same day then- the 21st. I have no idea what to expect, whether they are strict, or how the skills are set up.
I know the skills evaluators are LVN instructors though, so that is intimidating!

    I need to get practicing!!
Good luck; maybe I will see you there.
