Many of the state BONs and state nursing associations maintain records of the advanced practice nurses in the state. Back in NC, I was contacted a few times by people in other states who wanted to talk to someone with my credentials in my part of the state because they were considering moving there and wanted to talk to someone about professional opportunities, etc., and they said that they had gotten my name and (work, not home) contact info through the BON.
It would be worth at least asking the BON and Georgia nurses' association, I would guess.
I found a CNS preceptor in my city and specialty area using Google, emailed her and locked it in for the clinical. CNS are not nearly as plentiful as NP's, but there is less competition with other students for preceptors. Best wishes!
