    I am a CNS student and into my last year of school and I am about to start my clinicals.My concentration is on adult/acute care. My question is to all CNSs and CNSs students. How was your clinicals? Did you concentrate in only one specialty such as diabetes, cardiology etc.? How did you do your clinicals to meet all the CNS competencies?

    I did a wide variety of clinicals: ER, surgical clinic, nursing home. Are you going to practice as an APN or in the traditional change agent CNS role?

    I completed my clinicals working rounding with the hospitalists/NP's completing H&P's and consults. I also worked with APN's completing training materials as well as staff education in ICU and Med/Surg.
