CNS: Less Demand?

Hi,

I looked up at job search and found out some hospitals in CA are hiring quite a number of CNS, such as UCLA Medical Center, but many are not hiring CNS. Could it be that those hospitals which are not hiring CNS put classify CNS under RN positions? Or is it true that CNS are not in demand or popular in CA?

I see quite a number of NP positions, almost in every hospitals. Does that mean NPs are more in demands than CNS? Does anyone have any input on this?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry - can you clarify? Are you asking if it is better to be an NP versus a CNS in CA?

Yes, in terms of job opportunities and salaries in California. I know there's a thread on NP vs CNS, but there's no thread specifically on CA.

Also, I'm specifically talking in terms of Acute Care, because that's what I am interested in.

Thank you!
