Question:

Anyone who has taken nursing assessment, do you have the sample Power point presentation? My instructor has sent an email out to me twice with the sample, but for some reason when I open it the slide is blank. :/ I've never done a power point before, and just looking for Chamberlain sample (as they seem to provide this for everything Journal articles, APA format papers).

Thanks! :)

I got an example of everything but the power point presentation while in this class. Follow the hand out guidlines for the power point. There are a few websites available for assistance and also call the help line or the tutor service that is provided by the school. They are a great help. If you have microsoft office/powerpoint on your computer, it is pretty easy. Search on the web for ideas.

Hi Her Own Catalyst RN!

Could you please give me some insight onto Maths 114? I hope there is no threaded discussions! Is there weekly tests?

How much of a work load is the Math 221, I've been putting off taking it, with working full time, I was afraid I would not have time to keep up with the work load? any suggestions? Thank Yo, Katie

No weekly discussion threads. It's easy. You have multiple "quizzes" but they walk you through it and you have 3 attempts to do each one. You'll be fine.

I actually emailed my professor and got the sample PPP as well. I think she wasn't sending it in PP 2007 format and that was the issue.

I like Chamberlain over all but it is expensive. However, when I looked into Lewis University, UOP and others, they are all about the same price. Chamberlain gives ASN 81 credits I believe it is just for having your RN currently. That helps a lot. I had started in a BSN program when I graduated HS but getting married and having a family took priority. So I had a lot of hours already going into this RN-BSN program. I wanted to do the MSN so I can get my NP but I can't afford it right now. This was expensive. And I worked full time while I did this. It is tough but do able. I gave up a lot of personal time for this though.

I started 7/5/2010 and I graduate soon. I have 2 more classes left NR449 and my Capstone. I graduate in October with a 4.0!

Congrats! I don't know how people do 2 and more classes at the same time. I really don't enjoy the DeVry classes at all. I'm currently taking Sociology and really really dislike it. I think the 3 posts per week, plus the quizzes, final, bi-weekly papers and course project are just a little much. I plan on saying that at the end of the semester when they ask for your opinion. Next term I take economics, which again, I'm really dreading. My baby is due at the end of November, so I'm debating on taking 2 courses to expedite the process of graduating but I'm really scared :uhoh3: If I take two courses at a time I can graduate by February of 2012 instead of August 2012. Any suggestions? I also work fulltime nights.

The Devry classes are awful, so time consuming. I think you could take 2 nursing classes at the same time. Stick to one topic and keep writing about it, then you can re-use your refrences ans pieces of papers. I am in my last class :yeah: Capstone and have written about childhood obesity throughout my 9 classes.

I, too, am in my first class with Devry, Sociology, and it is very consuming. I am encouraged to hear that the nursing courses are not as labor intensive. :)

Sociology is giving me a headache! I'll be happy when it's over. 4 more weeks! Then on to Economics (ugh)

ECON is a time consuming class. I've been in the nursing class groove, and it's really thrown me for a loop. It's a lot of specific terminology that I have no previous knowledge of. I wish I hadn't taken it over the summer, because my daughter is home with me and I have to find a balance between keeping her entertained and spending time on the class.
