Chamberlain Tinley Park, IL

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

Hello everyone,

I am new to allnurses.com and so far I love it!! I have been reading the forums but I cannot find anything in particular about Chamberlain's Tinley Park location and I am assuming this is because it's still kind of new. I just wanted to how the instructors are and if this particular campus is worth attending?

Thanks I advance(^_^)

I would love information about this campus as well

Starting the May 2015 session in a few months. It would be nice to meet/speak with others who are planning on attending during this date as well

I am also starting in May! My next step is my drug and background check and meet with financial advisor.

Thank you guys for the replies! Was the entrance exam hard and how long did it take for you guys to find out that you were accepted afterwards?

Answers are greatly appreciated!!

Hey! Nice to finally meet someone else starting in May! I met with an advisor last week about classes and I'm all signed up for my first two semesters as well as orientation at the end of the month. Do you know what classes you'll be taking?

the entrance exam wasn't very hard at all. I also think it helped that I took the hesi entrance exam for another potential school and the questions were similar but just really focus on english, reading and math and you'll do fine! With the math really study the conversions and ratios, if you have purchase the hesi book it will pretty much show you all you need to know. I don't remember how long it took me but I finished pretty early and I found out I was accepted like the next day I believe.

I took it the first time and got a 74 without studying. I studied a week and retook it and scored a 85. Get the study book and review it. I found out I was in a week after my test because the board met the day after my Hesi and my file was complete.

I finished a lot of my prerequisites at a community college so I had 44 credits transfer. For my first semester they said I could just take 1 class to get me started. I think that's the transition in nursing class.

That's good that you were able to transfer a lot of classes in. I have to take transition, econ, and history in May and then Micro and health and wellness in July. I'm kind of nervous though because I don't know what to expect

Thanks for the tips! I love English and reading so I feel much better about the exam. Math isn't really my subject but I'll purchase the book and study.

Thank you!

Good luck! Make sure you know your fractions decimals and ratios. Everything else can be done on the calculator.
