Is anyone enrolled in the online FNP program at Chamberlain? I am interested in hearing anyone's experiences with the program. Thanks.

Hello WIS Nurse,

Did you end up starting the MSN-FNP program in May???? If so how do you like the format and the work load so far?? I am finishing up my BSN in February 2015 and am looking into online FNP programs. Investigating all options and possibilities....any suggestions?

:)

How is the program so far? Any issues being that is so new? I'm looking into Chamberlain, Maryville, and Walden. Would love feedback regarding any of these or others. :-)

Could you message me? I have a few questions that I would like to ask you but I can't message you directly. Thanks!:)

I am currently enrolled in the CCN FNP program, just beginning my practicum. On track to graduate Feb 2016. Anyone with questions, feel free to message me.

how is your practicum going? Do u like the program? when are you expecting to finish and take the exam?

I actually begin clinicals Tuesday at CVS' minute clinic. I am on course to finish feb '16. I do like the program. They are making some necessary adjustments inter program which will make it flow better. I would suggest it for anyone who is self motivated and in a position to find a preceptor without much assistance.

Ok, thanks ...also congratulations for coming this far. Good luck on Tuesday

Hi LuvofNursing, I can't pm yet bc i'm a new member- i'm in the process of applying to chamberlain. how are you liking the program so far? Do you feel like you're learning a lot from the online format? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

hi, i know this is an old thread but I have questions about this program and I sent you a friend request :) i look forward to your reply!

Luv, how did you deal with finding preceptors? Any recommendations? I have ones lined up for gerontology, women's health and peds (hopefully), but I can't seem to come up with anyone I know who will take me on for the first clinical. I'm going to have to approach strangers, I think.

I will be beginning health assessment on 7/6. I have found a preceptor for my first 2 practicum classes, and I have a peds rotation set up for 1/4/16. As for my capstone, I am going to use my employer for this site, so the only site I still need to get will be the one for the March session of next year. So far the program has been tough IMO, but you get out of a program what you put into it.
