Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

The first school I tried attending didn't work out. I haven't seen much information on this particular school so I decided to track my journey. I applied last week and got the call for acceptance yesterday. In all honesty this was my last option to be in an accredited nursing school. I had been denied five times from three different school but thanks to God, hard work, and determination I am one step closer to my dream. I don't have the best GPA and I made an 81 on the hesi. I start May 6 I'm nervous and excited. I'll keep future students posted on my journey.

I did really well! It only took me a little over 2 hours and it was MUCH easier than I thought it would be. They said that my score was really good, and I would hear back by the end of the week whether or not I've been accepted, but I don't see why I wouldn't be. I'm just SO ready to go back to school and get my degree.

Just got the call of acceptance! Faster than I thought lol

Congratulations!!! :)

Hey y'all

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what there scores where on each part of the HESI math,reading,voc/eng? i know they say you need a 75% overall on the hesi but i would like to have an idea of what i actually needed to score on each part of the hesi to get a good score. Thank so much for any help

I don't remember my score on each part but I had an 88 overall average. As long as you make an 80 on all parts you should be ok.

Hey all!! I just got accepted into Chamberlain for the fall start date as well. So excited to finally get started. Which day did you chose for orientation Sarah? I chose Aug. 22nd. It would be cool if we ended up in the same one. I can't send PM on here yet, but I'd love to get to know you and exchange information since we will be starting together. You can find me on FB Mykela Preyer Phillips. (Just include a msg of who you are when you add me) zhightower, you too! How are you liking your first set of classes? Difficulty level?

My first session was good. Getting use to the NCLEX style questions was my main priority.I'm in my second session of my first semester and I just ordered my scrubs. I think I'm more excited to be starting fundamentals more than anything. Everything is happening so fast but I love it.

D_Taylor, how ironic..I start in September with the exact same classes. Good question on the book thing. I need to go visit my academic advisor. My classes aren't showing up yet.

Mbphil08, mines neither. But in regards to the books someone who took the nr 101 advise me that the really only used the APA book. So I will be renting my books for this class from barnes&nobles. I have already purchase my patho book from Walmart.com. At a very reasonable price, I got a bundle with the textbook and the study guide brand new for around $83 including the shipping.

Maybe we will be in the same online classes. I am attending the Miramar campus. Im so excited.....

D_Taylor We did use all the books in transitions. Patho was great but I guess it was because of the teacher. I apologize for taking so long to reply between patho 2 and the projects for health I've been really busy

Zhightower, who did you take for Patho? Are you on fb? I can't send Pam's here yet but would love to add you there if you are on. My fb name is Mykela Preyer Phillips ;-) I go to orientation tomorrow and I am SO excited!
