Nursing Students Chamberlain College

I was wondering if anyone has been accepted into this program. I just took the HESI and received a 84% and I have 3.235 GPA. Should I be worried that I'm not going to make it in to the program at all?

Work as in the hard in the program or job

Thanks for the info there are a few rumors like some hospitals won't even consider Chamberlain grads and that the instructors are horrible and that once you're in there is no one to help(staff) and that they are very unorganized and teach off of PowerPoint mainly but I do know a few people that have graduated and have jobs now so I was hoping all the negative stuff isn't true because I'm leaning towards Chamberlain. Also is the entrance exam they have you take hard a little nervous about that as well

The entrance exam isn't awful.. But you should study for it. Focus mainly on math like fractions ratios stuff like that. I have had nothing but amazing help from my teachers and peers so far. I'm in an online statistic help that I have needed some help with and my teacher was amazing with me. I have nothing but good things to say about the STL campus. They also have a stellar relationship with most of not all Stl hospitals for clinicals and jobs after graduation. You will here negative things about almost any program people will always find something.. Or if they don't do particularly well they tend to place blame before looking inward. Just my opinion, but I am definitely impressed with how my education is proceeding.

Hi there!

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what does you daily schedule look like? What hours do you go to school, and is there an evening or night option? Also, how many days a week do you go to the campus? Sorry, but my advisor isn't much help!!!

Thanks!

This semester I'm on campus 2x a week in the morning. The prereq classes and some nursing classes are days and evenings and a lot of online if you like that. I think once the main core nursing classes start they are mainly during the day. I'll find out next semester when I register for that term for sure though. So are you attending the Stl campus?

Thanks again well im going to apply to chamberlain as well

Just to update now that I am coming close to a year of being enrolled. So far everything has Ben great, my advisor is wonderful and the teachers are awesome. Plenty reading and assignments but not an overload.

Well Chamberlain didnt work out for me they wanted me to take all my classes over because they were over five years old I was not willing to do thatj

Mslecia20, I am starting the program at Chamberlain College of Nursing this Summer! I was wondering if you could update me on how you like the school and the education. What do you think of the clinicals? Do you have any recommendations or tips for me? Thanks! Good luck!

I absolutely enjoy and love clinicals besides the very early morning time! (My son daycare is not open yet so that has been a struggle) I was one of the only classes that was allowed to do fundamentals clinical at SLU hospital. Usually it is at a nursing home. Only recommendations I have is to eliminate ALL distractions. I had to delete my FB and IG page and focus on classes only. No time for anything else because it WILL show in your grades

Thanks for the reply!

Specializes in none so far...

Just wondering if you made it.
