Chamberlain College of Nursing Pearland TX May 2017

  1. Hello everyone,
i just wanted to create a thread for those that are planning on attending the Pearland Campus. I was recently accepted and wanted to know who would be in my classes with me. I just met with the advising department yesterday and got my plan. It shows that it will take me exactly 2 years til I am complete with the program. Hopefully some of you chime in.

Cool any advice? I wish I could attend the Houston campus it's so much closer than Pearland. Did you transfer from PV? I am actually attending there now.

Hello! I recently got accepted for Pearland campus as well, for the May program! So glad you started a thread because I'm not familiar with it at all. I'm scheduled to attend my orientation on the 18th, so hopefully I'll have more insight by then!

Thats awesome! I'll be there at Orientation as well on the 18th. I was told that it will be information overload. So I'm planning on bringing a notepad and possibly a recorder. Did you have any transfer courses that were accepted? Have you already met with the student services advisor?

Will definitely bring a notepad, as well as clearing my phone's memory to record a lot lol. I was also told that it will be an overwhelming amount of information due to being on a time crunch right now since we do start in less than a month. I have only spoken plenty of times with an advisor over the phone who guided me through my admissions and acceptance. If you're taking about the pre-enrollment session where they will go over the finances, registering for classes, basically the real deal lol, I haven't had my session yet but will have it on the 20th. When they went through my credits, they said I needed to take one placement test for algebra to determine if I can be exempted from taking the class, so there's that, it's a takehome exam which I will be doing today or tomorrow.

After that exam, I just need to finish signing the documents my advisor sent over the email for me to sign, pretty much going over the handbook and regulations and such, then all I need to worry about is going to the orientation on the 18th and my pre-enrollment session on the 20th. So that's my journey so far haha. Sorry if it's lengthy.

How's your process looking like? Are you all set?

well to sum it up shortly I've already had my meeting about finances n stuff. I'm actually making videos about every step of the process on YouTube. I want to provide people with a really good idea of what to expect when applying to Chamberlain. Check my videos out.

I originally applied to PVAMU but it was in the middle of the degree change that went on long story short I didnt end up going there because I refused to take more prerequistes just to attend there. Which i believe they were trying to make me take Ecnomics.

@Murse0341. What do you want to know? This program is very doable with having a full time job which I do have and its a really good nursing program. I just say put your all into it and you will reep the benefits of breezing through each nursing course. Your Hardest class will definatly be Med-Surg so buckle down early and prepare for Med -Surg early on so you wont have any issues when you actually get to Med-Surg I and II. If you have anymore questions let me Know.

hello everyone, i know this is a thread only for may start date but im going to apply for fall 2017, can anyone tell me what sections they mainly look for on the HESI?
  14. by Murse0341
They require all sections to be taken minus physics. And there is an overall average taken.
