What are good GRE scores?

My school no longer requires them but says to submit them if you feel they are good and you want to show them off.

I don't know where the cut off is, and am sure it varies from program to program. My GRE's were 1200-1250 and I sent them to schools that did not require them. They all mentioned my scores as being very good.

My guess is that anything over 1100 might make them worth sending. I really don't know though. Did you try pinning them down further?

No, I should have. Maybe I could ask what the cutoff used to be? Its UMB, if that helps. I'll probably take them again because they are already 6 years old (I'm 28). My verbal was 530, quantitative 530, and analytical 680. Are you just calculating your verbal and quantitative?

The GRE costs money and significant preparation time. Plus there is a new writing portion that replaces the analytical portion. I would not bother retaking the test if I didn't have to---unless you have the time and think you can significantly improve your scores.

As you may know, GRE will not send official scores that are more than 5 years old. I just sent a photocopy of my own score report with the offer of bringing the original for them to see.

Your scores are good and your analytical is very good. But I really don't know further as to whether you should send them---are they better than the average of their admitting classes?

I wouldn't retake them. The program has decided they aren't of much use, so they probably won't pay much attention to them. In nurse anesthesia clincial performance is the most important, and whil GRE scores may correlate somewhat with passing the Cert exam, they don't correlate with clinical performance.

I dont think anyone will tell you a minimum at this point. However, when I was applying everyone I heard said to shoot for a 1000 or more. Worked for me. Start clinical residency in end of Feb...
