UT Memphis anyone?

Has anyone applied to UT Memphis?
I am thinking of applying there this fall and would like to know more about the application process, interview, what they are looking for in a student, how many students are accepted, etc.

Hi TeenyBaby, I am also applying there this fall; I actually asked a question concerning the school in an earlier post. I have had an interview with the director of the program at my request, at the time she was new to the program(she had only been there for two weeks, came from Virginia) and therefore could not answer all of my questions, but she informed me that they were planning to increase the number of students accepted into the program each year from 15 to 20 students. I don't have any information concerning the interview process ( would love to hear about that myself). I felt very comfortable talking with her and got a good feeling about the school as a whole. I know that their website states that they give preference to TN residents, I inquired about this also, she stated that if they have enough qualified applicants from TN then they don't usually choose out of state candidates.

Yes, I am from Memphis, but I have been living in Jacksonville, Fl for 4 years. My family is still there; therefore, I visit frequently. I am interested in moving back there and settling for good. UT Memphis is my top choice, hopefully we will both get accepted.

Jill (UT Memphis's director) was my director in Virginia when I first started. She is very well organized and knows her stuff. I'm sure Memphis's program will improve due to her new arrival. Good luck!
