Trauma Anesthesia

Any room for CRNAs in the scope of trauma surgery?? Just wondering, that's what I'd really like to do but I'm thinking in a hospital with a large trauma facility the CRNAs kind of get phased out of that area?

well -i can only give my opinion and 2 cent...
but as a former trauma/ed nurse - i too love the stuff even though it is the most straight forward easy anesthesia you can give.... volume...more volume....

however, from my viewpoint - most level ones are so innundated with residents of all different flavors that you are correct - you may be limited due to others "learning needs"... i am currently at a level 2 which sees plenty of emergency and trauma - and there are no anesthesia residents... plenty of play time...

Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore uses CRNAs and residents and you all get as much as you want.
